A band of dads was music to the ears of school fund raisers.
Five of the parents performed during Leechpool Primary School’s first outdoor music festival at the Horsham school, which was called LeechFest.
The governors of Leechpool Primary School and LEAF are raising money for a new music and drama area in a long-term project.
The Chairman of Horsham District Council, Cllr Christian Mitchell, who opened the festival, said:
“The festival was all about raising money for a new dedicated music room for pupils and the wider community.
“This was an amazing event to celebrate the pupils, teachers and parent’s talents. The music was fantastic and the house band 5D who are five dads with children at the school were a class act.
“The event was a real showcase for the inspirational leadership from the head teacher Nicola Davenport and her staff and governors.”
